Online training: Cyber Security Awareness

Raising awareness of typical cyber risks and safe behaviour in the digital workplace.

Our course covers the most important basics of safe behaviour in the digital workplace in around 63 minutes. The training is suitable for raising staff awareness as part of cyber hygiene and cyber security training in accordance with Article 21(2)(g) of the NIS 2 Directive, as well as for supporting regular training measures under Article 20(2) of NIS 2. When processing personal data, it can also serve as an organisational measure to ensure the security of processing in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance to download. Companies also benefit from a central admin interface for managing users, assigning courses and tracking participation progress.

Legal context / compliance support

The training supports the implementation of cybersecurity awareness, cyber hygiene and regular training in accordance with the NIS 2 Directive. Relevant references exist in particular to Article 21(2)(g) of Directive (EU) 2022/2555, which lists basic cyber hygiene practices and cybersecurity training as part of risk management measures, as well as to Article 20(2) of NIS-2, which provides for training for management bodies and promotes comparable regular training for employees. With regard to personal data, the training also supports measures for the security of processing in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR.

Suitable target groups

Suitable for the entire workforce, in particular employees with email access, administration, reception, assistants, financial accounting, HR, sales, customer service, field staff, managers and all employees with access to company systems or confidential information.

Certificate of attendance and administration

Upon successful completion, a certificate of attendance is available for users to download. For companies, the training platform offers a central admin interface through which users can be managed, training courses assigned and attendance records clearly tracked. This allows mandatory training, awareness measures and evidence of completion to be organised in a structured manner.

Course content

The training is modular in structure and conveys the most important content in a concise, understandable manner with direct relevance to everyday working life:

Chapter Content
Why Cyber Security? The course introduces the importance of cyber security and demonstrates why technical protective measures alone are not sufficient. The focus is on the role of employees as a human firewall.
Email and phishing Participants learn to recognise phishing emails, assess links in emails more effectively and report suspicious messages correctly.
Ransomware The training explains how ransomware attacks work, why ordinary users are often the first target, and what behaviours reduce the risk.
Viruses and malware The course covers malware on various devices, the sensible use of antivirus software, and guidance for both personal and work devices.
Cyber incident Participants learn what a cyber incident is, how they should react in an emergency, where to report an incident, and what typically happens after a report is made.
Social engineering Using typical manipulation patterns, the course explains how attackers use pressure, helpfulness or plausible stories to deceive employees.
Secure Passwords The training demonstrates how passwords are cracked, why simple passwords are particularly risky and how secure, memorable passwords can be created.
Secure workplace The course is rounded off with practical advice on clean desk, clear screen, secure disposal and the correct way to deal with visitors to the company.
